On the plane Atlanta to SFO
Well, God removed our shades and pulled out our earplugs, which unfortunately enabled my roommates to experience the fullness of my snoring when sick. Fortunately though after the snoring ensemble was assembled, we were allowed continue in force. I feel like this is a remake of the planes/trains/automobiles movie, because we’ve taken them all. We’ve traveled from sea level to13,800 ft, and have experienced God in nature from the largest mountains and cliffs to the smallest magenta flowers. And, although it’s so easy to see God in such awesome locations, where the mountains literally tower over you and the “cloud forest” culminates around you, it was within those moments that I saw His crown most in me.
The idea of an affirmation circle was very new to me, but what an awesome blessing it was! The team sat in a circle on many occasions, with one person in a “hot seat” while others discussed the qualities/gifts they most recognized with that person. It was in that time that I started to understand something with which I have been struggling for a couple of years. And this awesome peace fell over me, as an overdue smile broke out from within. God – thank you. Then there was another point of growth and realization of God’s will, after continued talking with the Frontline team and after reading some of “A Man after God’s Own Heart.” God is so powerful and so real. I despise the fact that I lose that realization in my life. I definitely will be creating some sort of plan to change this inadequacy. God I pray for a spirit of discernment and perseverance to make those necessary changes.
My report couldn’t be complete without a couple more plugs. Chicken appears to be a real staple in the Peruvian cuisine, and that doesn’t surprise me either. If roosters crow several hours before sunrise on a regular basis, I’d want to kill off the species as fast as possible too. Seriously – someone needs to communicate that a rooster is to alert others to the sunrise (like an alarm clock), and not responsible for hours of faithful praying beforehand. I was thankful that there was only one rooster crowing at 2:40 in the morning and so thought there may be a flaw in the "3rd World Factor of 3 Law". After later discussing this with Bob however, he did point out that the rooster crowed 3 times louder than I would have liked. – Chris, aka Kaiser Sosaey
